Gaskets & Seals

Though commonly regarded as being reliable, Ford’s 7.3-liter Powerstroke V-8 turbo-diesel engine could still face issues with its gaskets, fasteners, and valvetrain.

A potential issue for the 7.3 is failing valve springs. Valve springs help sustain the engine’s valve operation. When the valve springs lose pressure, the valves can float, not seal properly, or contribute to premature wear on other parts. Broken 7.3 Powerstroke valve springs can result in low compression and valve noise. While an individual valve spring going bad may not be the end of the world, the problem can lead to a more catastrophic engine failure, such as piston or cylinder head damage.

ProSource Diesel offers everything you need to rebuild your Ford Powerstroke engine, including valve springs, valve covers, 7.3 head studs, and more.
