1994-1998 DODGE RAM 5.9L CUMMINS PARTS

The 1994 to 1998 5.9L Cummins is one of the most sought-after diesel engines due to its simple design, durability and horsepower. It is very similar to the 1989 to 1993 5.9L Cummins engine. It has the same head, cylinder block, connecting rods and displacement.

The biggest difference is the Bosch P7100 (aka the P-Pump). The P-pump was added to the engine so the 5.9L would meet the new emission standards that came out in 1994. The P7100 produces higher injection pressures and in turn decreases the particulate matter produced in the cylinder and going out of the tailpipe.

The Cummins 5.9L also uses different injectors, revised pistons, a wastegated turbocharger and a larger intercooler.
