Equipped with a Holset variable geometry turbocharger and an air-to-air intercooler, the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine produced up to 400 horsepower. Upgrading the engine’s air intake and intercooler can help enhance performance, increase durability, and improve fuel economy.

Cooler air offers greater air density, which in turn means more oxygen for combustion. A new 6.7 Cummins intercooler can help increase the density of the air entering the engine, therefore boosting fuel efficiency and adding a few more horsepower. A replacement intercooler can also improve airflow as it can be less restrictive than the stock version.

To further increase horsepower and fuel economy numbers, a 6.7 Cummins cold air intake can help throttle response by feeding more colder air into the engine.
