Sensors
Ram’s 6.7 Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six engine isn’t immune to sensor failures.
One possible issue involves the 6.7 Cummins turbo speed sensor, which can provide improper readings, decreased performance, and potentially damage to both the turbocharger and the engine. Symptoms of a bad speed sensor include higher exhaust gas temperatures and excessive exhaust smoke.
The 6.7 Cummins throttle position sensor can also fail, causing low power and hesitation at low RPMs. Additionally, a bad mass airflow sensor can introduce several issues that are similar to low vacuum, low compression, and low fuel pressure. A faulty 6.7 Cummins mass air flow sensor can result in hard starts, stalling, and hesitation at idle and under acceleration.
Don’t let a sensor make it difficult to drive your Ram pickup home. Prosource Diesel is your one-stop-shop for 6.7 Cummins sensors.
