This GTP38R ceramic ball bearing turbocharger red is built to GTP38R spec with 66/88/92mm upgrade extended exducer tip billet compressor wheel for added performance and flow of 99.5-03 ford f series super duty pickups. The billet compressor wheel reduces compressor surge and supports huge power gains; with the expanded wheel size and aggressive blade design, it can provide up to 33% more airflow and produces less smoke and lowers EGT’s compared to the factory 60/80mm cast compressor wheel. This turbo has a compressor housing with 4in ported anti-surge inlet(stock: 3″) and a new 4in intake hose. The thrust and journal bearings have been replaced with dual ceramic ball bearing, which is necessary for the higher boost pressure and rpms this turbo is capable of. While this turbocharger is suitable as a replacement for factory equipment, it is highly recommended that additional fueling upgrades, such as aftermarket tuning and larger injectors, are installed or already in use. Using this turbo on a bone stock truck will cause a loss of performance as you will not have the necessary drive pressure to spool the turbo. This turbo comes with a 0.84 A/R turbine housing designed for tuned trucks with fuel injectors under 180cc. Tuned trucks with 180cc fuel injectors or greater will require a turbo with a 1.0 A/R turbine housing. GTP38R is capable of up to an additional 370+hp increase over stock.
Comparison Stock Turbo: 210 HP @ 2700 RPM, 420 lb/ft Torque This Turbo: 290 HP @ 3000 RPM, 550 lb/ft Torque

Coating Benefits Our testing has proven ceramic coating the turbo offers several performance benefits; keeps the turbo from radiating heat reducing under-the-hood temperatures by up to 70°f lowering intake air temperatures, reduces turbo lag and improves spool-up times by keeping the turbine inlet gases hot.
Brass 360 Thrust Bearing Brass dissipates heat faster and provides a longer life span vs steel. Improved lubrication with 6 oil passages vs OEM 270 style thrust bearings with 5 oil passages.
Step Gap Oil Seal Tighter tolerances for superior sealing minimizing oil leakage from the bearing housing vs standard OEM turbine shaft oil seals.
Protecting Your Investment
Most Turbo replacements are due to premature failure and or poor quality fluids and extended drain intervals. In order to maximize the life of your investment, protect it with quality care lubricants and packages we have created specifically for your truck.
First:
You will want to clean your engine and give everything a good baseline with an Engine flush that will help remove deposits and oil sludge from your engine and turbo. Liqui Moly Engine Flush (LINK)
Second:
When installing your new turbo you need to make sure for the first few vital seconds of the turbo’s life there is no oil starvation. We highly recommend filling the turbo with Liqui Moly Turbocharger Additive (LINK)
Third:
You will need to make sure your Powerstroke and New Turbo are filled with quality oil that meets or exceeds the factory specification. Liqui Moly Oil Change Kit (LINK) Complete Liqui Moly Care Kit (LINK)
