Description
ProSource Diesel Fuel Injector Pigtail
When purchasing engine parts, quality is of huge importance! You need to ensure the components work alongside your factory parts and deliver quality. This is assured with the Fuel Injector Pigtail For 04-07 LLY LBZ Duramax.
Why purchase the Fuel Injector Pigtail For 04-07 LLY LBZ Duramax?
At some point, any LY LBZ Duramax between the years of 2004 and 2007 is bound to experience the injector harness issue.
With these engines, GM has tightly routed the fuel injector wiring harness, which can cause a number of different problems. This includes intermittent loose connections at the fuel injector connector, connector-pin failure, and premature wire fatigue.
When any of these issues occur, the engine will be placed into “limp mode” by the ECM, with half of the cylinders being shut off. This causes a noise that makes your engine sound like it is about to burst!
The Fuel Injector Pigtail For 04-07 LLY LBZ Duramax can provide you with the permanent repair solution required.

Fitment
2004.5-2007 6.6L LLY LBZ Duramax
Sooner or later, most 2004.5+ LLY LBZ Duramax’s will experience the dreaded “injector harness problem”. GM routed the fuel injector wiring harnesses very tight on these engines, which can result in premature wire fatigue and connector-pin failure and/or intermittent loose connections at the fuel injector connector. When this happens, the ECM puts the engine into “limp mode” and shuts off half of the cylinders, resulting in an engine that sounds like it is about to scatter its parts all over the highway! Usually, this will set “injector drive circuit” codes and/or misfire codes.
The common “ice pick fix” is a good trick to get you home, but generally, it is not a good permanent repair solution, as the harness/connector/pins will eventually loosen up again.
