These are commonly overlooked replacement parts when servicing the fuel injectors on the LB7 Duramax engine; however, we suggest that these bolts be replaced. It is cheap insurance in making sure there are no weak spots in this vital system.
A leak here can cause cross-contamination and result in fuel in the oil which reduces the oil’s effectiveness and protection and can lead to a “Run Away Diesel” scenario.
